I hope together we are what each the other was crafted to need

want, 

shaken and broken in all the ways we couldn't help

but are still so beautifully attached. 

My promise to you, is 

I'll stay present 

exploring and approaching all of us with the curiosity of presence we deserve

though I do know 

like water in an ocean 

vast and dynamic 

the crashes can be strong 

the depth can be deep 

and winds will have their impact.

So, where our journey goes

I'm not yet able to promise 

but the here and now 

with thoughtful endeavor 

I give to you 

my heart 

and I pray 

you can in all your ways 

as equally sculpted 

and thoughtfully designed 

that it will stay 

safe 

as humanly possible
